Detroit Spark and Hustle

Tory Johnson and Christine Galli at the Detroit Spark and Hustle Conference

I landed on a world of fun when I attended the Detroit Spark and Hustle. It brought together so many talented women with amazing gifts. The name reminded me of one of the mice in “Who Moved My Cheese”, an allegory of what happens in the business world if you aren’t paying attention to the dark corners around the bend. In the story, some mice assume the cheese is always in their maze vs.  others who are wary of the current state of comfort and scurry to find the next opportunity. My sister Mary pointed out that I was and always will be the Sniff and Scurry mouse, which is a suitable role for an entrepreneur.

The women at Spark and Hustle were Sniff and Scurry on Steroids. Tory Johnson delivers a personal punch with her story of big business (ABC News) and how it lead her to being a champion for women in business. I met so many others that I am now collaborating with to help charge my business up. Coach Jenn, Dana, Eryka, Tena and Michelle are all on my team cheering me on.

All of this from a Small Biz VConference put on by Stacy Kildal and Dawn Brolin, CPA, who talked about Spark and Hustle and other solutions for businesses, including Jen Puckett (goddess of websites). I am now hooked on these sisters of business and will continue to shout out their favorite gig Radio Free QuickBooks. My world of sisters grows and isn’t it all about trust, collaboration and family? You bet!
