Technical Tips – TSheets

TSheetsIf you haven’t been paying attention to my latest emails, I have a new favorite tool that has brought efficiency to Technology In A Box and its called TSheets. Aside from their amazing features and no-brainer approach to online time entry, I am in LOVE with their support and marketing staff.

I’ve always thought that the best way to judge technology or software services is to call their help desk before you buy and see what type of people support their product. Little did I know that I would fall in love with the TSheet staff before I even landed on the purchase.

My first encounter was with Greta as she presented the first free webinar that is offered on Wednesday. I learned bout TSheets from the perspective of the online app. I have my own URL called christinegalli.tsheets.com and that is where my employees and vendors can find the uploaded list of customers, services and departments that are populated by the Intuit Sync Manager. There, they enter their time per job for me to later approve and sync into QuickBooks.

My next webinar was with Victoria, who started the presentation with “This is national FLAN day”. Being the wife of a pastry chef, I was enamored with her already. Little did I know she was later going to be my savior with helping me synch the proper QuickBooks file with the proper TSheets account. She is patient, knowledgeable and helped me beyond measure. Victoria leads the Thursday webinar from the perspective of the QuickBooks data file. TIP: Make sure the email for your employee or vendor in QuickBooks is the same as their TSheets user login.

After my first blog, I had a new best Jessie who signed up for our newsletter and was also one of my initial contacts for setting up the company account and linking the file. But Jessie also is a flurry of marketing genius and was sharing my LinkedIn blog and giving me shout outs for my emails. (I especially loved her “@ChristineGalli, you are my Shero. Never heard of it, but I figured it was “she+hero”, right?)

And a big THANK YOU to Jennifer for liking our Technology In A Box Learning Services Facebook page!

I have learned a lot more about the Intuit Sync manager feature in QuickBooks and how it synchronizes data up to the user’s Intuit App cloud account and then it is available to other programs when you call upon it. I believe it is API technology, but I’m not there yet with all of the technical aspects. What I do know is that within the TSheet program, there is a very visible set of operations centered around QuickBooks that helps you connect, import and export with your QuickBooks desktop or QuickBooks Online file. The support articles and frequently asked questions are spot on, but the best part is the help@tsheets.com. There lies my favorite people just waiting to give a helping hand!
